After I first visited my family in Jamaica I read robert Farris Thompson's "Flash of the Spirit" and bacame fascinated by bottle trees, so I made my own. the bottles are covered with fabric, then embroidered with sequins and beads like Haitian libation bottles. It took me two years to make.
