Slave Ship

Drawing in charcoal on paper and canvas. I started this peice in a life study group and changed the model to look slightly African. I made the drawings in narrow strips to symbolise the tiny spaces allowed to the slaves on ships. the British considered this "Close-packing " to be a triumph of economic packaging.
