First Wavemaster and High Waterlord

Nrat-Tuan, 10th Century Post Imperium: Here we have the leader of the whole Nrati-Tuan planet. No other wears a blue Robe, or one made of such material. It is deceptively simple for such a powerful figure, with the traditional fin panels worn by all delegates to the Imperium, but the fabric it is made from is unusual - it shimmers, and the iridescent colours change from moment to moment; it is actually alive, and constantly moving. Research indicates that the Wave Master is the religious leader of the Nrati-Tuan. It is thought that this religion is based on waves, and that its practice involves what is known as a "Wave Dance", the concept of a giant dance in time, which will reproduce all of the possible wave forms in the galaxy. Once this is complete, time stops; to begin all over again. It was this religion which instigated the development of space travel, and reinforced the effects of the floating islands by encouraging the constant movement that distinguishes a Nrat-Tuan inhabitant - "still sickness" affects all Nrati-Tuan on dry land. Wave stones, traded from Iboriis, are the symbol of participation in the "Wave Dance", and are carried by all Nrati-Tuan from birth to death. Children carry chips of stones till they are old enough to earn their own. Stones absorb energy with time and use, and a stone owned for a long time, becomes actually powerful, augmenting the energy of the user, and can sometimes be an aid to healing, or a source of physical power. The Wave Master's stone is held in a carrier around the neck of his, or her Robe, hidden from sight, and protected from damage and harmful influences.
